| taking kids fishing | | I enjoy fishing and my grandaughter likes to copy every thing i do so she also wants to go fishing I let her fish as she wants casting and realing her pole in tho she does manage to catch fish when they are biting we usually use worms and liver for bait I was wondering tho if it would bother her to use minnows she is 5 I feel it is important that I spend as much time with her as I can and teach her all i can She has ADHD and loves exploring new things to do Do you like spending time fishing with the young ones and do you use minnows when doing it What other baits are good to use | |
| | have you taken someone besides your kids fishing? | | alot of peopel dont even take there own kids fishing these days. i think that is sad personally. then there are those of us that do take our kids. i think that is great too. have you ever taken someone else kid fishing though. maybe taught them to fish. there are so many kids out there that would love it but dont have a pretn to take them. do you find it in your heart to take them or do you even think about it? we have been taking my kids friends with us and it is great watching them. we have been thinking of signing up with big brother and sister and maybe take a few kids that way that would not have the chance to do otherwise. | |
| | Do you take your kids fishing? | | My kids love to fish. I try to take them out on charter boats when I can, but it's usually about $150 for 4 hours for all of us, so we go to the piers alot. We can spend an entire day fishing and crabbing. They love to eat the fish and the crabs and are so excited that it is something that they caught. It's a great hobby and something that they will enjoy for their lifetime. As much as we love winter, we are all a little upset that our fishing time has come to an end until the spring. | |

| New avitar! | | My Granddaughter's first fish! It was about 4 inches long and she was in awe. She is 3 and very much a tom boy already. Does anyone have any fun kids fishing stories? I would love to hear them!

| | Do you like fishing? | | Riding across a calm lake on a boat that putts along or sitting on a dock with your feet dangling in the icy water.....pole in hand waiting for that little tug that announces your a winner? I grew up fishing with my mom and dad.....I took my kids fishing when they were little....and when they grew up I quit. This summer though for the first time in years I am going to get a license and go fishing! Do you like fishing or other outdoors sports? | |
| | Are People To Dependant On Technology Today? | | All these new gadgets being made and all this new technology to make life easier for us but is it really a benefit? What would happen if we lost all power could you survive? Think about it. Through the years 20 years ago fathers take their kids fishing, hunting and camping and teaches them how to live off the land but now a days with all the new technology people dont really bother with activities like that. Say all the worlds resources dried up or something big happened do you think you could live off the land like the pioneers did? I think I could but many would die because they never bothered to learn the little things. Whats your thoughts? | |
