At least to have the experience. My father took my brother and I fishing quite a bit when we were younger and I cherish some of those memories....although I remember very little of the logistics of it!Would you recommend for their beginning adventures - river fishing or lake fishing? (assume that no boat will be available and the fishing will be done from the shoreline) do you use live bait (or formerly live bait as the case may be, hehe) or lures?
Which is your favorite to use of either kind? for instance if using live bait - do you prefer night crawlers, or shrimp, or corn? etc.
Consider also that these are girls who may be a little squeamish of piercing a living worm. (I know their mother is for sure!)How about a pole for starters, any recommendations? what should I look at in regards to the reel as well? nothing too elaborate or expensive - but a certain attribute I might should look for?Thank you for your help!
